Club promotes awareness on wine and educate people through www.delhiwineclub.com, India's first wine webzine.I have organised 126 events where we generally serve 5- course meals with 5 wines, and where I do the pairing and talk about the wines generally. Voted as the Best Wine Club of India for 2007
Founded Indian Wine Academy to give professional marketing consultancy, in 2003. We help foreign producers to enter and work with the Indian market, make reports etc., organise corporate events, train staff at hotels and restaurants, conduct wine appreciation courses and evenings, take groups abroad- to vinitaly, vinexpo, wine for asia, etc.I have been organising wine conferences and seminars at IFE-India in Delhi and the total wine program of this annual food and wine show for the last 4 years.
I wrote a Guide on the Italian Wines in india in 2006- a first book of its kind published in India. 30,000 copies distributed by ICE.
I have visited Italy many times with wine delegations to Vinitaly, Conegliano- Valdobbiadene prosecco region, Soave and Valpolicella, Trentino, Torino, Dogliani, Barolo, Barbearesco etc in Piemonte, Chiati Classico area, Montalcino. I took a delgation of 9 importers to Salone del Vino in 2007 and 14 journalists and importers to Montalcino in 2008. I have been invited to Alimentaria, Vinoble, Fenavin, Vinoelite, Topwinesofspain, Rioja, Madridfusion, Prowein, Anuga. I am also a regular visitor to the International Heart and Health and Wine Convention in Napa, USA.
I work with Promex-Rome, FederExports Piemonte and RheaPartners, Rome to promote Italian food and wine in India. I have already received several invitations to Italy to promote the regions, cuisines and wines in India. I also work with various embassies like Chile, Peru, Uruguay, South Africa, Italy and France to help promote wine. I have conducted several wine workshops. I am featured regularly in the Press and media.
Have been an international judge at Vinitaly concorso-2006, Mundusvini 2007 and India Wine Challenge 2007 at London and Delhi. Invited again for IWC 2008-London and Mundusvini 2008 in Germany. Invited for tasting in Cape Town by South African Airways for SAA Wines for 2009 Selection (also Cape Wine 2008). Was Chairman of the Jury for BTMore Competition in Delhi for Indian wines -2008
I am the Editor of delWine, a twice-a- week wine and food eNewsletter that goes out to 9000 people. 234 newsletters have been sent out so far. I develop content also for the same. I am also the India Correspondent of Meininger's Wine Business International (written 82 articles)
Write for several magazines, newspapers and international magazines on wine including Ambrosia,FHRAI (a magazine that goes out to 13000 people in the hotel and restaurant trade), IT PlusWine & Dine Singapore, Wine Business International, Germany, and Enotra (Vinitaly 2007). Voted the Best Wine Journalist of India by Wine Business International Survey in 2007.
As a wine journalist-I travel abroad to Italy, France, Germany, Spain. Attend vineyards and wineries regularly, throughtout the world including India. Visited Bordeaux for En Primeur this year.
Seminars: I have given seminars on Indian wine industry in Italy (Vinitaly, Piemonte, Spain, Germany and Singapore) and am invited by various embassies to address various visiting delegations.
